I'm Lindy, and I'm running for DFL Treasurer.

I’m a communicator, organizer and volunteer with a history of serving local communities, the DFL and unions. I live in Red Wing with my partner Maura and my fluffy dog. My mission has always been to create a better state for everyone, regardless of race, gender, income or zip code.
I’m responsible, forward-thinking and open-minded. From growing up and living in a rural area, I know how to work with people who disagree and find a productive path forward. As a communicator, I seek out thoughts and opinions from people of all backgrounds, on various levels of political engagement, to make sure our politics reflect the average neighbor - not just political insiders. Regardless of who else DFLers choose to elect, I would be a collaborative and constructive addition to the team.

A Winning Path Forward
My Vision for Our Party
I'm running to join the DFL leadership team for so many reasons, but the most important among them is to increase trust in our party. At this critical moment, everyone - workers, people of color, LGBTQ+ folks, immigrants, moderates, leftists, retirees, students, veterans, farmers, business owners - everyone should be able to find a place in our party. As long as you're not doing harm, I firmly believe that there is not only one right way to be a DFLer.

It's clear now more than ever - peoples' lives depend on us winning trust with our voters so we can win elections.
That's why the role of Treasurer is so important - it's a make-or-break position for trust in our party. On top of being diligent, organized and an Excel lover, I'm someone who can communicate honestly and transparently about resources, advocate for where resources should be spent, and support all candidates and treasurers with easy-to-follow guidelines and advice.

People who have worked with me know that I will give 1000% to ensuring everyone in the DFL is supported, so everyone in the DFL is successful.

Supporting Candidates, Winning Elections
Whenever I'm working with candidates or elected officials, my #1 goal is to give them everything they need to be confident, true to their beliefs and successful in meeting the needs of their neighbors.

With true staffer energy, I know when I'm supporting campaigns that my job should never be to tell candidates or campaign teams what they should do or who they are - it's simply to make them feel supported. I believe that should be the role of party leaders as well - we should let our local communities democratically pick their own candidate, and then support the DFL candidate to be the best they can be.

This type of temperament and approach is what has earned me the endorsement of 30+ elected officials from different parts of the state, different backgrounds and different political beliefs. These folks are mentors, friends, allies and role models who have seen what I can do and who know what kind of shared values, hard work and vision I bring to our party.
